Book Title:

Understanding Confrontation

Introduction

Confrontation between people too often produces conflict.

Is confrontation right or wrong? Is it inevitable in human society in this day & age? How should we think about it, where does it come from? How should we handle it? These questions are considered from the point of view of a Christian who is led by the Spirit of God or a person desiring to be so led. If this is you then you will gain much insight from reading & reflecting on what follows. If this is not you then it may be seen as nonsense, unworkable & foolishness. It is unlikely to make much sense & you may as well stop reading now.

To know how to conduct oneself & what attitudes are correct in any given situation that we may face can only be determined accurately by looking at the example of Jesus as revealed in the Bible. To study his example & think about & apply whatever principles we can find within the pages of scripture. In what follows we will also see the examples, both good & bad, of other bible characters & from this we can form our own opinions & directions.

The example of Jesus is the bench mark, the gold standard by which all others are measured. Please take the time to read & meditate on what is presented, accepting whatever you feel applies to you.
