This Book Prints out as 82 pages on A4 paper. Book Title: Introduction to the New Testament
Aim. My aim in writing about the New Testament is:
To
explain the reasons each book was written and the purpose for
each book.
Introduction. I started writing this book in Arabic for our Bible College in Fairfield, Sydney in 1995 and we published it in the same year.
It gives me great joy now see this book in English. As a result of the advances in computer software since 1995 I have been provided with a good electronic translation program. Modern translating software has translated this book with a 80% accuracy and I have only needed one month for the remainder. I hope you also find it easy to understand.
The New Testament is the most powerful book in the world. It is the best seller and the most critical part of the Book of the books. The New Testament can change your life. The reason it can inspire you is because it is telling you about Jesus, the Son of God. The New Testament is my best friend, I read it in my early years in the faith over 100 times .Today, after 45 years, I am continuing to study this pearl and I see more and more marvellous things in it.
How important is it to read the Bible? Here is the answer of some of America's historically prominent men: Andrew Jackson said, "That book, sir, [the Bible] is the rock on which our republic rests." George Washington put it this way: "It is impossible to righteously govern the world without God and the Bible...." Charles Dickens stated, "The New Testament is the very best book that ever was or ever will be known in the world." Horace Greeley asserted, "It is impossible to mentally or socially enslave a Bible-reading people." Finally President Woodrow Wilson urged, "I ask every man and woman in this audience that from this day on we realise that part of the destiny of America lies in their daily perusal of this Book [the Bible]."
Reading the Bible and following its instructions will enable you to find Christ as your all-sufficient Saviour. Further, regular reading will minimise your anxieties, decrease appetite for lying, cheating, stealing, immorality, and all manner of sin. You will realise real peace, joy, and love in your life.
The New Testament is full of wonder. The wonder of its formation-the way in which it grew is one of the mysteries of time. The wonder of its unification-a library of 27 books, yet one Book. The wonder of its age-the most ancient of all books still in existence. The wonder of its sales-the best seller of all time, far ahead of any other book. The wonder of its interest-the only book in the world read by all classes of people. The wonder of its language-written largely by uneducated men, yet the best book from a literary standpoint. The wonder of its preservation-the most hated of all books, yet it continues to exist! |
