This Book Prints out as 45 pages on A4 paper. The Foundations for Strong Relationships Introduction The word “relationships” can apply to many things. It can apply to Country to Country via politics and we call this International Relationship. It can apply to pupil and teacher, coach and sports team, employer and employee, church and members etc. It can even apply to inanimate objects such as engine parts where the relationship of a battery to a motor is being referred to. In this book I am restricting my use of “relationship “to human relationships, between male and female. I will use this word in that context, unless otherwise noted. Building strong relationships is my goal in life. I am a great believer in positive relationships. I teach and I believe that good relationships are the foundation of a good church. The relationship among the Holy Trinity is our ideal in every home and in church. The home is the foundation for good relationships in the church. Foundations of biblical relationship The Holy Trinity relationship is: the Father God loves the Son Jesus, and gives Him everything. The Son Jesus obeys the Father God in everything, and the Holy Spirit gives all the glory to Jesus. Can we aim to build the same relationship as the Trinity? The Father love to His Son and given Him the glory John 3:35 The Father has love for the Son and has put all things into his hands. John 3:36 He who has faith in the Son has eternal life; but he who has not faith in the Son will not see life; God's wrath is resting on him. John 8:54 Jesus said in answer, If I take glory for myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father who gives me glory, of whom you say that he is your God. The Son pleasing the Father. John 8:29 He who sent me is with me; he has not gone from me, because at all times I do the things which are pleasing to him. The Holy Spirit gives all the glory to Jesus John 16:13 However, when he, the Spirit of true knowledge, has come, he will be your guide into all true knowledge: for his words will not come from himself, but whatever has come to his hearing, that he will say: and he will make clear to you the things to come. John 16:14 He will give me glory, because he will take of what is mine, and make it clear to you. Often ministry divides us but relationship makes us one In the past I have written a lot about the pain and suffering that has resulted from broken relationships but the Holy Spirit has led me to add to my old teaching and write more about the pain and suffering which results from broken relationships. The reasons for writing this book are:
Isa 61:1 The spirit of the Lord is on me, because I am marked out by him to give good news to the poor; he has sent me to make the broken-hearted well, to say that the prisoners will be made free, and that those in chains will see the light again; Isa 61:2 To give knowledge that the year of the Lord's good pleasure has come, and the day of punishment from our God; to give comfort to all who are sad; Isa 61:3 To give them a fair head-dress in place of dust, the oil of joy in place of the clothing of grief, praise in place of sorrow; so that they may be named trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, and so that he may have glory. Isa 61:4 And they will be building again the old broken walls, and will make new the old waste places, and will put up again the towns which have been waste for long generations. This prophecy was fulfilled in Jesus. Luck 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because I am marked out by him to give good news to the poor; he has sent me to make well those who are broken-hearted; to say that the prisoners will be let go, and the blind will see, and to make the wounded free from their chains, Luck 4:19 To give knowledge that the year of the Lord's good pleasure is come. Luck 4:20 And shutting the book he gave it back to the servant and took his seat: and the eyes of all in the Synagogue were fixed on him. Luck 4:21 Then he said to them, Today this word has come true in your hearing.
Psa 34:18 The Lord is near the broken-hearted; he is the saviour of those whose spirits are crushed down. Have you seen people with crushed spirits? Psalms 34:18 (ASV) Jehovah is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, And save such as are of a contrite spirit. (Brenton) The Lord is near to them that are of a contrite heart; and will save the lowly in spirit. (CEV) The LORD is there to rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope. (ERV) The LORD is close to those who have suffered disappointment. He saves those who are discouraged.
Psa 147:3 He makes the broken-hearted well, and puts oil on their wounds.
I am writing this book out of my love for every broken-hearted person every leader and all believers. This is so that all of us can do our part in helping people. Then the above prophecy will also be ours, for us do the will of God in our lives. My advice to the church is this, Don’t send your people to counsellors; you do the healing for them as Jesus commanded. You heal the sick and heal broken in heart. George |
